It's some kind of callback to electronica's history, through the lens of an eighteen year old Portland, Oregon-based (Californian transplant, but not reallllyyy) autist, who grew up listening to Orbital and Ke$ha in separate parents' cars. Garden Busker is a project dedicated less to the sounds of 2000s and early-2010s music (held back by lack of technical skill to really copy that kinda thing), but moreso to the circumstances and atmosphere of independent cityfolk making weird music on their dinky lil' laptops. Songs are only available thru digital download and physical media, foregoing the route of struggling to obtain a sizable fanbase (and living wage) off of aggressively self-promoting a streaming service through social media channels. Flowergrade is the real kickoff point for the project, wearing influence from Orbital and Four Tet, with a lil' vocal hook cut from a Frou Frou song. Garden Busker is the output for a frantic, unreliable creative heart, and at times an exercise in learning how to love the art you make.
